SLO Creek Farms is one of the top apple farms in San Luis Obispo, sitting on 44 acres of land perfect for apple picking. With over 40 acres of just apple trees, your family won’t know where to start with the varieties they offer. This includes Jonalicious, Empire, Early Fuji, Gala, September Wonders, Sundancers, Granny Smith, and Braeburn.

They encourage families to call ahead to make sure apple picking conditions are right, and they ask that you follow signs to stay in the correct orchards. The farm also offers a picnic area where the entire family can hang out and other u pick options like vegetables, flowers, herbs, and pumpkins.

Avila Valley Barn

Avila Valley Barn has it all for the entire family. Besides u pick selections, the farm offers a chicken and smokehouse where you can grab lunch, a bakery to grab delicious goods, and pony or hayrides during the appropriate seasons.

There is a fee to come onto the farm, $5 per person, but children under 2 are free. They recommend you bring cash for your blueberries since they state the Wi-Fi can be a little off, so Venmo or credit cards might not work when you arrive.

McCall Farms
